My Therapeutic Approach

Compassionate. Curious. Direct. Helping you understand the unconscious patterns shaping your life.

Therapy Is a Collaborative Process

Healing isn't something I do to you. It is something we discover together.

I don't believe people need someone to tell them who they are. I believe they need a safe relationship that helps them recognize what has been living beneath awareness all along.

Our work is collaborative, thoughtful, and paced according to your readiness—not my agenda.

I Ask Different Questions

Many approaches begin with:

"How do we get rid of this symptom?"

My work begins somewhere different.

Together we ask questions like:

  • What is this anxiety protecting?

  • Why does this relationship pattern keep repeating?

  • What part of me learned this?

  • What no longer fits who I am becoming?

  • What is asking to be understood instead of avoided?

Often these questions lead somewhere far more transformative than symptom reduction alone.

Compassion With Honesty

I believe compassion is essential.

I also believe compassion requires speaking difficult truths.

Sometimes, I may gently challenge long-held beliefs, invite you to notice recurring patterns, or offer perspectives you have not yet considered. These conversations are never about criticism. They are invitations to greater awareness and freedom.

My goal is not to confront you.

It is to help you see yourself more clearly—with compassion rather than judgment.

We Work With Patterns, Not Just Problems

Symptoms rarely appear in isolation.

They often exist within larger emotional patterns that have developed over years.

Together we may explore:

  • recurring relationship dynamics

  • attachment patterns

  • inner child experiences

  • protective parts

  • perfectionism

  • people pleasing

  • shame

  • dreams

  • symbolism

  • unconscious emotional themes

Rather than asking how to eliminate these experiences, we become curious about the role they have played in helping you survive.

Insight Is Only the Beginning

Understanding why something developed can be deeply meaningful.

But insight alone rarely creates lasting change.

Real transformation happens when understanding is accompanied by compassion, emotional experience, and a new relationship with the parts of ourselves that have carried fear, grief, shame, or loneliness.

The Personal and the Universal

Your experience matters, and still, I do not believe your suffering exists in isolation.

Much of what we struggle with personally also belongs to patterns shared across human experience: attachment, loss, shame, longing, fear, identity, belonging, control, grief, and the desire to become more fully ourselves.

A transpersonal perspective helps us step outside the belief that our pain is entirely private or uniquely incomprehensible. The circumstances of your life are your own, but the deeper psychological patterns moving through them are often profoundly human.

This can create an important shift.

Instead of asking only, “Why is this happening to me?” we may ask:

“What shared human pattern am I encountering here?”
“What is this experience asking me to understand?”
“Where does my personal story meet something larger than myself?”

This wider perspective does not minimize suffering. It can make suffering less isolating.

Sometimes healing begins when an experience that once felt intensely personal can be understood as part of a larger psychological, relational, or archetypal pattern—and therefore something that can be witnessed, understood, and transformed.

Meaning Is Discovered, Not Imposed

I do not believe my role is to tell you who you are or assign meaning to your experience.

Instead, I help create the conditions for meaning to emerge through reflection, relationship, symbolic exploration, and a wider transpersonal perspective.

Sometimes that meaning feels deeply personal. Other times, an experience becomes clearer when it is understood as part of a larger human, relational, or archetypal pattern.

My role is to offer questions, observations, and perspectives that help you see beyond the limits of the story you already know—without replacing your own discernment with mine.

The goal is not to arrive at one final interpretation of your life. It is to develop a more spacious way of understanding yourself: one that can hold the personal and the universal, the conscious and unconscious, the practical and symbolic.

Over time, this broader perspective can make it possible to live with greater freedom, compassion, and choice.
