About Maegan

Welcome. I’m Maegan Kenney, LPC, PhD, BCC.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, Transpersonal Psychologist, and Board-Certified Coach. My work lives at the meeting place of psyche, spirit, compassion, and integration — especially for those navigating non-ordinary states, spiritual emergence, psychedelic experiences, ketamine treatment, existential transition, and profound inner change.

Through Third Realm Integration, I offer specialized virtual support through transpersonal coaching, psychedelic integration coaching, ketamine integration therapy, and limited transpersonal psychotherapy. My work is focused on helping insight-oriented adults make meaning of the experiences that change them and carry those insights into life with clarity, care, and discernment. I do not offer general mental health therapy or provide primary support for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or other standard mental health concerns.

For more than a decade, I have supported clients through the terrain where psychology, spirituality, shadow, and transformation intersect. My approach is depth-oriented, transpersonal, and clinically informed, drawing from Jungian psychology, archetypal psychology, trauma-informed principles, somatic awareness, symbolic exploration, and heart-centered integration.

Where Psyche and Spirit Meet

I work especially well with therapists, trainees, sacred space holders, practitioners, coaches, creatives who are moving through significant inner thresholds. Many of the people who find their way to this work are not looking for conventional weekly therapy or surface-level support. They are seeking a grounded space where psychological insight, spiritual meaning, symbolic material, and practical integration can be held together.

At the heart of my work is the belief that profound experiences do not become transformative simply because they happen. They become transformative through the way we meet them, listen to them, metabolize them, and allow them to change how we live.

Research and Published Dissertation

My doctoral research explored feminine consciousness, compassion, and countertransference among women-identifying psychedelic practitioners. This work examined the ways compassion can become a stabilizing, relational, and transformative capacity for practitioners who hold space for non-ordinary states, emotional intensity, spiritual material, and psychological transformation.

My dissertation, Home Is Where the Heart Is: A Heuristic Study of Feminine Consciousness and the Role of Compassion in Mitigating Countertransference for Women-Identifying Psychedelic Practitioners, was completed through the Integral and Transpersonal PhD program at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS).

This research continues to shape my work at Third Realm Integration. At the center of my approach is the understanding that integration is not only cognitive. It is relational, symbolic, embodied, ethical, and heart-centered.

Who I Work With

I work best with reflective, insight-oriented adults who are moving through a meaningful inner threshold and are seeking grounded support for integration, discernment, and meaning-making.

This may include spiritually attuned adults, sacred space holders, and creatives navigating spiritual emergence, non-ordinary state experiences, psychedelic integration, ketamine integration, existential transition, or profound inner change.

This work is not designed as general therapy, crisis care, trauma treatment, substance use treatment, or primary treatment for anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or other broad mental health concerns. It is a focused container for those seeking depth, integration, and transpersonal support.

Third Realm Integration

Third Realm Integration exists for the threshold: the place where something has opened, the old map no longer fully applies, and a deeper form of integration is being asked of you.

The work offered here is focused and selective. Services include transpersonal coaching, psychedelic integration coaching, ketamine integration therapy, and limited transpersonal psychotherapy for clients whose needs, location, goals, and presentation are an appropriate fit.
