What Is Inner Child Healing?

Inner child healing is a therapeutic approach that addresses the emotional wounds, unmet needs, and adaptive patterns formed in childhood that continue to influence your adult life. Your "inner child" represents the younger parts of your psyche that hold memories, emotions, and needs from early developmental stages.

This healing work involves recognizing when your inner child is triggered, learning to provide the nurturing and protection you needed then, and developing a conscious, caring relationship with these vulnerable aspects of yourself. Unlike simply revisiting childhood memories, inner child healing focuses on reparenting yourself in the present moment.

My approach combines gentle therapeutic techniques with heart-centered presence, creating a safe space for your inner child to be seen, heard, and healed. This work often serves as a foundation for deeper therapeutic processes while being healing in its own right.

What to Expect

50-minute Inner Child Healing Session ($120)

These sessions are a gentle, guided process of rebuilding trust with your inner child — the part of you that learned to protect through perfection, performance, or withdrawal. Together, we soften the defense walls that once ensured survival but now block intimacy and self-acceptance.

 

Through compassionate dialogue, mindfulness practices and visualizations, and emotional repair work, you’ll begin to create safety inside your own system so old wounds can finally heal and authentic connection can emerge. Each client receives an in-depth Inner Child Healing workbook to use as an ally along the journey. Includes additional materials like guided audio practices.

Session Structure

  • Completion of necessary assessments prior to first session

  • Check-in and intention setting (10 minutes)

  • Guided inner child connection and dialogue (25 minutes)

  • Nurturing practices and integration (15 minutes)

Healing Interventions Include:

  • Guided visualization to connect with your inner child

  • Dialogue techniques for communicating with younger aspects

  • Reparenting practices to provide what was missing in childhood by working with the Inner Mother archetype

My background in depth psychology and trauma-informed care ensures that we approach this sensitive work with appropriate safety measures while honoring the profound wisdom and resilience of your inner child.

  • Individuals early addiction recovery (less than 1 year sober)
